At Azbuki Primary and Middle School we believe that English proficiency is a key skill for success in the modern world. That is why we place a strong emphasis on language preparation from a very early age.
From the first grade, students have daily English classes, with native English speaking teachers. This way, children are immersed in an authentic language environment and learn the language with ease and begin to use it confidently in their everyday lives.
English literacy starts in the preschool group through the proven British phonetic system “Jolly Phonics”, which is used in Grades 1, 2 and 3. In classes from 1st to 7th grade, teaching is mainly led by native speakers, which provides an authentic language environment.
Oxford Discover is the main publication used in the primary stages. It is a modern learning system that encourages project-based learning, critical thinking and active exploration of the world. English classes are interactive, fun and inspiring, while providing a solid language foundation.
Starting from the 4th Grade, students transition to the Macmillan academic program, with the aim of more in-depth preparation and development of all language skills.
From 2024, the school has also offered additional classes for preparation for Cambridge as an official Cambridge Preparation Centre, which allows students to certify their level of English through an internationally recognized exam hosted at our own facilities.
